Meet the friendly ISM Morphett Vale team

Your teacher is specially chosen for their warmth, enthusiasm and ability to relate to children. All group teachers are certified in the ISM system, attending continued training and development programs to obtain these skills.

Joanne Boquin

Joanne Boquin is the director of the International School of Music at Morphett Vale. Joanne has taught piano for over since 1999, to students of all ages.

Before becoming a director, Joanne enjoyed teaching music at over 10 different Primary Schools across Adelaide. She also has held teaching positions at 3 different Music Schools over this time, teaching in both groups and individually.

After learning the ISM method, she felt it was the best way for children to learn and understand music. She currently directs an ISM school, and has loved seeing the amazing results of the ISM programs in hundreds of students across Adelaide. Many of her students have sat their AMEB exams, and are now successful musicians and teachers themselves.

She always aims to motivate her students to achieve the best results. She believes with practice and persistence, anything is possible.

"The ISM system has changed my whole approach to music education. I'm amazed at what students can achieve with this system. As a music teacher, once you have learnt the ISM method, you can never go back. The best part about it is it's so much fun!" -Joanne.
